Colour Stories
These were the first two actual projects in my Graphic Design class! I was so pumped to get to work with Photoshop at first, but then I quickly how lame these actually were :P. As lame as the projects were though, I really like the first one I did, the Neutral Colour Story. I just really loved the photo I found online and I feel like I did a great job representing the colours within the picture. The second one I did, of my own photo, I think didn't turn out quite as well. I really love the photo itself, but after I finished the Colour Story, I was met with grim disappointment of the final product.
Portrait Series
This, was the first actual fun project in my class! I had a blast doing this one; it was fun and real challenge figuring out some of tools and techniques I had to use to achieve the affect I was going for. I feel like I had an original idea with this one: basically, the two subjects in the photos represent lovers. who are just so deeply in love. But, alas, one of them is dying.. fading away into nothing. The other is forced to watch in terror as his lover disappears before his very eyes, and he's left to grieve in the snow where she once stood. There's really only two things I don't like about these photos: 1.) My subjects could have been a little better at acting :P (sorry Dominic and Atlas haha, I'm just kidding!), and 2.) I have no idea why I decided to make the leftmost subject in the second photo black and white. You don't really notice it from far away, but if you look just a little closer, it'll stand out quite a bit. So if I had the option to redo it, that's the one main thing I would change. Otherwise, this is my favorite project from this class!
